Russian born Queensway is an upcoming experimental force set to run rampant around the deep, experimental bowels of the electronic scene. A very versatile artist by his nature, the young (now) Ukrainian let forth with his first four track abomination of moody calm, “The Sixth Race EP” on ABSYS DIGITAL.
Utilizing a variation of styles, including downtempo, trip-hop, half-step, and minimal, this album is a rainbow of many flavors to keep listeners on edge and wondering what’s coming next. Emotional yet uplifting, complexity is key in the composition of these masterpieces; and QUEENSWAY’s future is definitely shining bright as one of the genre’s future superstars.
RELEASE DATE: 10.01.2012
A: AUTOMATIC LOVER
C: FEEL SEXUAL
D: MAN WALKS ON THE MOON
E: PATH TO THE SEA
F: ST. VALENTINE
I: SUMMER JAM
J: THE SAD STORY OF NATIONS
K: THINKING ABOUT YOU BABY
Angelic pads, chords and a euphoric male vocal introduce Queensway’s debut album on Sync: Saphir with AUTOMATIC LOVER. Children are heard playing in the background while a male vocal lulls the listener into the futuristic melodies of DARLIN. Both tribal and ethereal in nature, the vocal cuts through before coming to a tranquil breakdown of pads and exuberance. The main vocal comes rollin’ through as the drop hits. FEEL SEXUAL employs the vocal from Amber’s well known hit from 2000, “Sexual,” although in a much more somber mood here. Elegant melodies layered exquisitely personalize the tone as MAN WALKS ON THE MOON. The heartbeat increases, putting the listener in a meditative state as the narrator directs this soulful journey. Full bass pushes through the speakers as abstract canvases are constructed of layered instrumentation.
Touching back down to our planet, PATH TO THE SEA, brings sounds of children playing in majestic waters as a pager beep leads to the rush of rolling, thunderous bass and a moving male melody. Flutes accent the harmonic ballad as ST. VALENTINE steps through the next door.
As if in a movie sequence, serious-mattered female vocals ask the questions while morose basslines lay under a field of sound design, ironically resembling cocked guns and slamming doors. STAY follows in the path of its predecessor, again creating a cinematic picture. Saintly spoken lines rest atop simplified drum hits and powerful lows.
STUTTER brings the melodic side of QUEENSWAY back, once again brilliantly layering each set of arpeggios on the keys. Marimba glissandos echo throughout the backdrop as blips and pads lead into SUMMER JAM.
Very danceable and intense, the Ukraine transplant utilizes a very spiritual, legato male to inspire this earthly piece. Sax riffs are heard at points, and QUEENSWAY’s very deep style is meticulously apparent by this point. THE SAD STORY OF NATIONS drips tears where all man stands. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech sparks inspiration in the listener. Muted trumpets and synthesized strings create the orchestration.
THINKING ABOUT YOU picks up the pace, leading out of that dark tunnel. Uplifting female vocals make their identity while a pumping bassline leads into this dance-inducing number. MESSAGE finishes out this tremendous tour de force. Anyone not inspired by this work of genius should really go back and listen to this album again. One last dose of melody, magnificent layering and a heart-woven female vocal carry the downtempo vibes out to the ending.

B. PAUL B. – WHISPER – When we got Paul´s music first, we were amazed by the monumental sound and the ideas he´s developing in his music. “Whisper” is like a still life where you can find your own thoughts moving. Its minimal in sound but at the same time needs nothing else to explore the deepness. It comes with a vocal and smoothly gated synth stabs to build up a melancholic and honest artwork of a tune. V/A - SYNC:SAPHIR LP (english)
Syncopix and Jay Rome continue to build their brand new imprint Sync:Saphir with the release of their first album compilation, which is part of the Sync:Saphir LP project. Already released on vinyl, Henree's massive remix of Fun, Bionic1's surrealistic Love Maschine, Syncopix's string-ridden Smile, and Enei's bass-heavy Brick, are of course included in this fantastic, technically sound mix.
The remainder of the compilation is taken up by an octet of masterful, yet very different sounds by Edward Oberon, Heavy1, Joe Syntax, Mr. Sizef, Paul B, and Sobersoul, while Syncopix and Enei come rolling through with a second track for the album.
Mr. Sizef's 7 Tones of Melodic begin the mix with lush piano melodies, eventually leading to a more teched-out, tribal feel. Moog-like samples fill the backdrop creating a spectacular genesis to the mix.
Following Henree's Fun Remix and Enei's soul-deep Brick, Russian darkness mastermind, Paul B debuts on Sync:Saphir with Bayawak, a massive technical artwork, bringing together beautifying melodies and his signature techy, minimal sound.
Edward Oberon's Ain't It Funny comes rolling through next, sampling the techstep anthem, To Shape the Future alongside angelic vocals, warm basslines and instrumental riffs before label co-owner, Syncopix takes over with Epsilon Pegasi, a big tune with an uplifting intro alongside ambiance and a minimal but impactful song structure.
As we enter the second half of the compilation, Bionic1's sci-fi oriented Love Maschine makes its presence felt with its dancey, dark vibes, making for a phenomenal mix into Joe Syntax's Modern Games, a futuristic stepper loaded with tramens.
It would be no surprise that a duo of tracks from another world would lead to a Riot in Tokyo, produced by Heavy1.
Well-planted bass kicks lead to an almost dubstep-like body, increasing the tempo before wading into Enei's Right On. Melodic symphonies open to an uplifting vocal and minimal bassline.
The last two tracks of the mix, Sobersoul's To Love and Syncopix's Smile exhibit the masterful ability of these artists, combining ethereal melodies, sweeping arpeggios and vibes that were created for the upcoming spring and summer seasons.

V/A - SYNC:SAPHIR LP SAMPLER 2 – BLUSYNC002
For the second sampler of the Sync:Saphir album collaboration, the sounds are switched up a bit, bringing in a very heavy remix of Electrosoul System's Fun (from BLUS004) and newcomer BIONIC1's Love Machine. These two tunes put a new spin on the usual Blu Saphir and Syncopix releases you're used to, bringing deep, techy, rolling vibes to the table.
You're all familiar with Henree, who has spit out releases over the last five years on the likes of Blindside, Deep Kut, Sound Trax, Lucky Devil, Phunkfiction, Soul:R and Vampire. BIONIC1 is a brand new Swedish export with tracks already signed to Syncopix Records and B.I.O.S. Rec. He's got a rolled out sound that's not to be missed!
SYNC:SAPHIR LP SAMPLER 2 – BLUSYNC002:
A. ELECTROSOUL SYSTEM – FUN (HENREE REMIX)
B. BIONIC1 – LOVE MACHINE
A. ELECTROSOUL SYSTEM – FUN (HENREE REMIX)
Before listening to this remix, you might want to revisit the original to notice the change in texture and sound. Henree definitely lays it down with this remix. Bass heavy and driving, you'll feel bass quakes rolling through the floor as this one passes through the sound system. The opening resembles the original, but that's all you're going to get that hasn't really changed. The moody chord progression that is stabilized throughout the track is enough to make a spine tingle, while the minimal vocal adds spice and atmosphere to an already amazing work. Very melodic and uplifting, an excellent choice in remix selection for this record!
ELECTROSOUL SYSTEM - FUN ( HENREE REMIX ) - SYNC:SAPHIR LP - SAMPLER 2 ( JAN 2010 ) by BLU SAPHIR MUSIC GROUP
B. BIONIC1 – LOVE MACHINE
There is not just one word to describe this track. One second you're locked inside some type of futuristic space encounter, and then bombarded by techy stabs and vicious bass in the next. Following a sexy and seductive vocal, “Wanna go for a ride?,” all chaos breaks loose! Rolling tech funk is the name of the game here! Fans of labels like DNAudio, Black Reign LTD, Quarantine, Critical and Shadow Law will want to check into this one!

Random Movement (about sampler 1+2):
"The tunes on Sampler 1 and 2 of the forthcoming Sync:Saphir LP really hit a number of different styles, a truly diverse spectrum of audio not to be missed. I personally am very partial to the Syncopix track on the album--a genius of jazz theory and production technique, this guy always keeps me guessing.
